This book deals with the functions of Quality Management in SAP R/3 in the core processes of logistics: Purchasing, Production, Sales and Distribution, and Service. As the Quality Management module is embedded in the individual processes, not only the components themselves but also the interfaces and contact points to other components are explained. Building on the quality-relevant master data of the material and the basic data of the Quality Management module, we describe the processes of inspection planning, inspection lot creation and inspection lot completion. Furthermore, the quality notification, test equipment management and many other topics of significance are discussed in detail. The various functions are clearly described, illustrated with examples, scenarios and screenshots. The basis of our descriptions and source of the screenshots is the R/3 Release 4.5B, whereby the preceding versions 3.1 and 4.0 are taken into account in the discussion. Most of the examples were created using the IDES training system from SAP, Release 4.5B. Thom Jones's first collection of stories is a revelation. In prose that sounds like nobody else, Jones channels a variety of distinctively different voices, from the lustful book editor of "Unchain My Heart" to the epileptic, amnesiac adman of the Dostoevskian fable "A White Horse." There's not a miss among these tales, but two in particular stand out: the title story, about a boxer and Vietnam vet who has plumbed the vicious depths of his own soul, and the almost unbearably intense chronicle of a woman fighting a losing battle with cancer, "I Want to Live!" "The world is replete with badness," says the aging fighter of "A Pugilist at Rest"; yet, as the narrator of "I Want to Live!" discovers, there is nothing stronger than the human will to go on, to persist--even in the face of the hell that exists right here on earth. It's not all gloom, doom, and napalm, however. There's also the surreal, Gogol-esque humor of "The Black Lights," in which the pysch-ward protagonist insists his only problem is epilepsy, yet hallucinates a giant, shuddering rabbit caught under his bed at night ("It's that rabbit on the Br'er Rabbit molasses jar. Then, too, Jones creates images of startling, surreal clarity amid the horror, like the dying lieutenant who remains on one knee even after being shot, "his remaining arm extended out to the enemy, palm upward in the soulful, heartrending gesture of Al Jolson doing a rendition of 'Mammy.'" The sheer visceral intensity of Jones's prose is amplified by the sensitivity with which his characters are drawn: a soldier in Vietnam recognizes his capacity for violence in an ancient Roman statue; an abusive womanizer reacts with instinctive viciousness when he falls in love; a janitor attempts to lure a slow student from a potentially disastrous relationship; a dying woman finds solace in the pessimistic philosophy of Arthur Schopenhauer. Jones's gritty yet refined prose stands in sharp contrast to the more apologetic work of National Book Award winner Tim O'Brien ( Going After Cacciato , LJ 12/15/77; The Things They Carried , LJ 2/15/90), with whom critical comparison is inevitable. VERY INFORMATIVE BOOK, 7 Chapters of great knowledge.I am a very avid amateur photographer with over 20 years experience. I do a lot of different types of photography from Astrophotography with traditional digital camera's and high tech CCD devices linked to computers, to scuba-diving underwater video's and photography. While the GoPro Hero 5 has a lot of intuitive drop down menu's, this book will take you to a higher level of understanding and practical use which will enable the GoPro user to get the most out of their camera. A little pricey for the number of pages, but the quality of this book is outstanding from the physical construction of the book to the vast quantity of example pictures and illustrations.A definite BUY if you have a GoPro 5. In my opinion, the user of a GoPro 5 will get MUCH more use and enjoyment out of their camera after reading this book.

I found this to be an excellent resource on how to use this camera. excellent step by step instructions, simple language and easy to understand explanatory notes. Useful for those who have experience with GoPro's or those new to the camera alike.

As a newbie to using this camera, I found the book helpful. There were one or two places in which the author did assume a novice like me might have knowledge which I did not. But nothing major that could not be figured out with a moment or two of reflection. Besides learning to use the camera, I was inspired by the section on various ways the camera might be mounted for a different perspective. Nice clear manual.

Everything you want to know about your Hero 5 - and everything you should know about your Hero 5... I've been taking mine along on canoe/kayak trips and using it casually. After reading a few chapters of this book - I find that I could have done a whole lot better with the situations and results!The chapters are organized in a logical sequence taking you from very basic understanding of the camera controls and set-up, to more advanced procedures that can get you spectacular results. Everything is included and explained in simple terms. No real advance photographic or technical knowledge required to enjoy this manual and get a lot of information out of it. You will improve your use and enjoyment of your Hero 5.

This book goes through everything you need to know to start off with your Gr Pro 5 Black. This is my first go pro and this book has helped get comfortable with it really quickly!

The book provides a lot of information that would have taken me a lot of time and trial and error to learn. This is a great book, and it has really helped me understand the various options that I have in using this camera. I don't know how to contact the author, but the only suggestion I would have now is that the GoPro Studio software that is often mentioned in the book is no longer available. That's fine, and that happens, but I would love an update that suggests not only other software, but how to use it.

The morning sun glazed everything around her―the cement homes, the iron rails along one wall, the bars on the windows, the stones around the well―and made her squint her itchy eyes.

She was hungry. That was all.

They'd arrived here only last night, stopping as soon as Awwad and the men were sure the army had moved south. It must have been the third time in just a few weeks―collapse the tents, load the mules, disappear into the sands. She hoped this war would end soon, and she didn't really care who won, as long as it ended because they hadn't eaten well in two years. In the past few months, her mother had sold all her gold, except for her bracelet made of liras. It was the only thing left, and she was holding onto it, and Rabab realized, so were they all; she imagined that, the day it was sold, when her mother's wrist was bare, would signal that they were at the end.

About the Author
Susan Muaddi Darraj's stories, essays, and reviews have appeared in New York Stories, Orchid Literary Review, Banipal, Mizna, al-Jadid, and several anthologies. Her previous short story collection, The Inheritance of Exile, was honored by the U.S. State Department's Arabic Book Program. She is a recipient of an Individual Artist Award from the Maryland State Arts Council. A Philadelphia native, she currently lives in Baltimore.
